Skyline Beer Company
Skyline started in 2002 with our shared love for home brewing and culinary experiments — you know, Sundays-over-the-stove stuff. And then one of us thought out loud. A little market research and a lot of dreams later and the Skyline Hop Shop was born in 2014. But the ideas and customers kept coming, and we soon expanded to form the Skyline Trading Company: a restaurant, craft beer and wine bar, bakery, and home-brew supply store in Westfield, MA. And today, bigger it is: a 4,500 square foot restaurant, tasting room, and ten-barrel brewery overlooking the rolling hills of Western Mass. But here’s the part we’re most proud of: yeah, their little dream may have gotten a lot bigger than they ever expected but ultimately they’re still three people huddled over the stove, testing new dishes, brewing new recipes, and sharing it all with whomever walks in the door.

What began as a homebrewing hobby more than 20 years ago became the Skyline Hop Shop in 2014, and within a few more years this had become the ten-barrel brewery, tasting room and 4,500-square-foot restaurant open today. Skyline Beer Company has 20 beers on tap at any time, and on “One-Off Wednesday” the brewery taps a five-gallon, one-off release. A few of the core beers usually available are Wobbly Boots Mile 1 (IPA), Sunday Drive (New Zealand Pilsner), Noble View (Pilsner), B-Berry (Blueberry Wheat Ale), Skyline Trail (Lager) and Irish Goodbye (Stout). For accompaniment you’ve got pretzels, dips, flatbreads, salads and a wide choice of baked-to-order cookies. There’s also live music, trivia nights, yoga sessions and occasional visits from food trucks. If you are ever in need of a cabinet maker, click here.
